Ricky Witt

Ricky Wayne Witt, 62, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, formerly of Louisville, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. Ricky was an avid University of Louisville Fan. In his younger years, he played football along with many other sports. Ricky was a proud father, grandfather, loved being around his family, and all of his animals. He enjoyed listening to country music and dancing. Ricky was known for having a good time and was always the life of the party. He loved his sweets and especially his Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. He never met a stranger, had many friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on August 30, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to Alvin and Patricia (Williams) Witt. He is preceded in death by his Father, Wife, Willene "Smurf" Witt, Daughter, Theresa Boaz, and Sister, Jenny Witt.

Ricky is survived by his Daughters, Janae Thomas, and Misty Davis, Mother, Patricia Witt, Grandchildren, Chase Davis, Blake Thomas, Alivia Davis, Tiffany Bailey, and Chasitie Flynn, Siblings, Steve (Karen) Witt, Pam (Mike) Basham, Kristie Witt, Donna Witt, Ben Witt, Ashley Witt, Destiny Witt, and Desiree Witt. Ricky also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Children that called him "Poppy", Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with Entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
