Gene Raymond Herrick

Gene R. "Pops" Herrick, age 86, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away at his home on December 4, 2021. He was born on August 5, 1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raymond Herrick. Gene (Pops) was a graduate of Eastern High School, class of 1954 and then married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte Hund who passed away in August of this year. They were married for 67 years. Gene was president of Herrick Electric until his retirement in 1989. He was an avid car collector and enthusiastic fan of car racing. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Herrick.

Gene is survived by his 3 children, Ken Herrick (Marsha), Jeannie Youngberg (Brian) and Lisa Harden (Jim); grandchildren, Eric Rogers, Katie Allison, Chris Herrick, Robbie Harden and Shelby Canas; great-grandchildren, Vivian, Gracie and Charlie Allison, Lucas Rogers, Reed and Elliott Herrick, Wyatt and Wade Canas; 2 brothers, Robert Herrick and Michael Herrick; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be private. Gene will be buried beside Charlotte at Resthaven Memorial Park.
