Diane Voirol, 66, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
She was born on August 24, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Elizabeth (Griffey) Smith. She is also preceded in death by her husband Larry Voirol, siblings Loretta Claxton, Clay Smith, Michael Smith, Marlene Devers and granddaughter Miaunna Ford.
Diane was deeply devoted to giving to her family, always going above and beyond to take care of them in their time of need. She loved big family gatherings, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid animal lover and dogs where a huge part of her life.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Sherry Lynn (Cheeks) Bayne (Mark), Jeanette Sue Cheeks (Christina), son Joseph Lee Wayne Cheeks, brother Robert Smith (Carolyn), grandchildren, Jerry Robert Lee Cheeks, Justin Allen Ford, Marissa Cherre' Lori-Beth Ford, Brandon Cheeks, Isabella Box, Hunter Cheeks, Samantha Baughn, DJ Scroggin and Jasmine Leland. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East (11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, KY 40241).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions in Diane's memory be made to the family in the name of Sherry Bayne.
