Wayne L. Grubbs, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
He was born on April 20, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Herbert Grubbs and Doris Grubbs. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Silliman, grandson, Christopher Hash and great grandson, Matthew Kyle Hash, Jr.. Wayne was the owner of Wayne's Coach Limo Company. He was an avid UK fan, a Hooters wing eating champion, and loved his dogs, Woodford, Phantom and Rusty. Wayne will be remembered for many accomplishments throughout his life, but most of all he will be remembered for the love and devotion he had for his family.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Darlene S. Grubbs, children, Tony (Lynn) Grubbs, Becky Hash, Dorie (Gerald) Shelburne, Valerie Kennedy, LeAnne (Jared) Sergeant, Chelsea (Cassidey) Disney, Tracy (Tim) Miller, Chris Wilson, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and his sisters, Ramona (Dan) Selby and Linda Payne.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
The family requests that contributions in Wayne 's memory be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
