John Henry Alvey, Sr.

John Henry Alvey Sr., 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
He was born on August 2, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Anna (Burkehouse) Alvey. He is also preceded in death by his siblings Art Alvey, Dorothy Schilling, James "Bo" E. Alvey and Dr. Frank Alvey.
John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Wisconsin and retired as a Real Estate Attorney.
John is survived by his loving son, John Henry Alvey, Jr. (Amy), three grandsons, Jacob, Grayson and Owen Alvey, wife, Marlyn Alvey and close friend, Margaret Vincent. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
