Jerry Dale Clark, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Baptist Health East Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born on June 13, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby Clark and Helen Sermon, step father, Tommy Sermon, daughter, Jerrie Renna Avery, siblings, Billy, Wayne, Betty, Shirley, Wanda and Bessie, and three great grandchildren.
He was a retired Carpenter who also enjoyed building and supervising projects in his spare time. He loved most sports and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends at the Rock watching NFL, NBA and college sports games. And he was an avid UK fan, he also enjoyed playing poker. Jerry will always be remembered for his humor, his dancing and his energetic personality, and for how much he was always willing to help others, and had a Pure Heart of Gold. He was highly intelligent and wise beyond his years. Jerry was a lot of things to a lot of different people throughout his lifetime, but most of all he will always be remembered as a loving Daddy, Pappy, GrandPappy, Uncle and True Friend.
Jerry is survived by his loving daughters, Cassandra (Jack ) Dennis, Christina Clark and Teresa (Tim) Goebel, son in-law, Ronald Avery, grandchildren, Dakota, Destiny, Stephen, Paul and Timmy, great grandchildren, Isaac, Knox, Austin, Blake and Nash, along with his two beloved nephews Wayne and Danny, several other nephews, nieces and cousins and his life long friends, Chester "Lucky" Brown and Kathy Erwin.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
The family requests that contributions in Jerry's memory be made to the American Lung Association.
