Edward "Ed" J. Russell, Sr., 70, of Louisville passed away on August 9, 2021.
Ed was born on October 20, 1950, in Louisville to the late Ernal and Lillian Russell. He attended St. Agnes and Saint X, and graduated from Atherton High School. Ed enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and U of L sports. Ed loved spending time with his family and had a lot of close friends. He also enjoyed playing basketball, tennis, and golf in his younger years.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Russell.
Ed is survived by his children, Amanda Castle (Donnie) and Ted Russell (Becky); grandchildren, Lillian and Trey Castle; brother, Fred Russell (Betsy); and mother of his children, Susan A. Lampton.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2021 at Shenanigan's Irish Grille (1611 Norris Place)
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
