James Robert Langley , 95, of Louisville, KY passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. James was very active with South Jefferson Baptist Church for many years. He worked as a repairman on office machines until his retirement. James proudly served in the United States Navy and was a WWII Veteran. James served on the USS Jouett and and USS Bordelon and served in both the European and Pacific Campaigns. He was a proud veteran and a loving father. James will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born on October 19, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky to Leslie and Ellen (Standard) Langley. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, Marion Langley, Dr. Leslie Langley, Jr., Charles Langley, and Sister, Mary Virginia Kice.
James is survived by his Daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Kahan, and Connie (Brian) Rohleder, Grandchildren, Sarah Rohleder, and Bradley (Becca) Rohleder.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with burial and Military Honors to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
