Derek James Miller, 36, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
He was born on January 27, 1985 in Louisville, Kentucky to James Miller and Lora Parson. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers James Miller and Ronald Parson, Sr.
Derek was 2003 honors graduate of Oldham County High School, an honors graduate of the University of Louisville Speed Engineering with an undergrad in Mechanical Engineering; he also had an MBA in Business through the University of Louisville.
Derek is survived by his father, James Martin Miller, mother, Lora Jean Parson, brother Camden Joseph Miller (Allison), nephew Benny Miller, grandmothers Jessie Miller and LaDona Parson. He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A gathering will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Derek's memory be made to The American Heart Association and/or the National Kidney Foundation.
