Paul Puryear, Jr.

Paul Puryear Jr. (Tink) went to eternal rest on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the age of 41 in Louisville, Kentucky. Paul was born on May 22, 1980 in Louisville, Kentucky to Arnetta and the late Paul Sr. He was the youngest of 7 siblings, Roland Sr. (Regina), Phyllis, James Sr. (Dodie), Chris (Lisa), Shirl (Shawn Sr.), Felicia, Ramon Sr. (Mittie). Three siblings preceded him in death Sherrie, Steve and Gregory. Paul was a Christian and he professed faith and hope in Christ at an early age.

Paul was a loving husband to a devoted wife, Tiandra Puryear (Tia) for 3 years. Tia patiently and tirelessly attended to Tink's every need during his prolonged illness. They were married on June 30, 2018.

Paul graduated in 1998 from Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He attended Kentucky Barber College and graduated in 2001. Paul worked at a thriving barbershop in West Louisville called Cardinal Kuts with his good friend Kinte Patterson. Tink often took pride in donating his barbering services to anyone who was elderly and in need of a fresh cut. Tink attendedSullivan University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in accounting. He was employed by C-Squared Plumbing Inc as an administrative accountant.

Tink was passionate sports fan. Paul was an avid bowler who played in several local bowling leagues included Strikes & Spares and Thelma Lane. He was proud of the fact that he bowled a perfect 300. Tink's favorite college teams were University of Louisville Cardinals and Michigan Wolverines football. His favorite NBA team was the LA Lakers and his favorite NBA basketball player was Kobe Bryant. The 49ers was his favorite NFL football team. Tink also coached several teams in the Dirt Bowl.

Whenever we saw Tink coming, we looked forward to a lot of smack talk, laughs and good times. He was always the life of the party. We will miss his joking ways and his radiant smile.

Tink is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tiandra Puryear (Tia), and 4 children, Triniti, Paul III, Trinity and Tristen. He was also adored by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Paul's life will beginning at 1pm.

Paul will be laid to rest at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
