Lester Lee Wright

Lester Lee Wright, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Lester enjoyed helping people and had a kind and caring heart. He loved spending time rummaging and finding treasures, and putting things back together. All of things that he would find he would gladly donate to friends and family. Lester was a one of kind and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a Army Veteran during Vietnam and received the Bronze Star & Purple Heart along with many other Citations of Honor.

He was born on April 5, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Roy and Eva (Blanton) Wright. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, David Wright, and Ray Wright.

Lester is survived by his loving Wife of 27 years, Nancy Wright, Son, Jamie (Necha) Wright, Daughter, Rebecca (Michael) Clemmons, Sisters, Jeanette Renn, Linda Parker, and Kim Johnson, Brothers, Mickey Wright, and Tony Wright. Lester also leaves behind to cherish his memory his Grandchildren, Maria Jinna and Miguel Aldrich; along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm Central time at Lyle Cemetery in Leitchfield, KY.
