Natalie Beth (West) Mckinney

Natalie Beth (West) McKinney, 55, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. She enjoyed many things in life which included spoiling her grandchildren, spending time outside on her deck in the summer, reading, politics, gambling and movies. Her favorite holiday by far was the Fourth of July. Natalie was known for teaching life lessons and making others happy.

She was born on May 7, 1966 in Louisville, Kentucky. Natalie was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew McKinney; sister, Julie Sweasy; father-in-law, Bill McKinney; and friend, Jerry Crenshaw.

Natalie is survived by her parents, Tommy and Pattie (Cole) Thomerson; children, Jennifer Moran (Cory), Anna Lopez (Josh), Patrick McKinney (Lauren), Sarah McKinney; Kyle McKinley (Dani), Karey West (Ryan); nine grandchildren that knew her as Happy Face and Nini; brothers, Shawney Ray West, Greg Thomerson; mother-in-law, Sammy McKinney; aunt, Valerie Steinlander; and best friends, Paula Wambold, Leslie Burke and Gary Roth.

Natalie's wishes were to be cremated and a reception of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a memorial service taking place at 6:00 p.m.

Natalie loved all types of animals. The family requests contributions in her memory be made to the Floyd County Animal Rescue League (215 W. Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
