Joseph Todd Dant, 52, a devout Christian man, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and next to God, his son Brandon was his greatest love. Joseph was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and Dallas Cowboys. He was a music and animal lover that enjoyed cleaning and doing karaoke.
He was born on May 2, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, James Dant. He is survived by his son, Brandon Dant; mother, Charmaine (Dumas) Bull (Herb); siblings, Nathan Sander (Anaja), Lee Newton, Julie Dunn (Carl); companion, Kimberly Farmer; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Due to current restrictions, his funeral service will be held privately, with a limitation of 50 individuals, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). The burial will take place on a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville.
