William C. Rogers, Sr. 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021.
He was born on March 22, 1943 in Bowling Green , Kentucky to Daniel Rogers and Mable (Burton ) Young. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Amos and Melva Jo Chyle. Billy Carl served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and retired from Navistar; where he was a UAW Union Steward. He also played bass for a band called BJ and the Countrymen for many years.
Billy Carl is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Judy Rogers, children, Natalie Hunt, William C. Rogers, Jr., and Denny (Cathy) Cress, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and siblings, Faye Thomas, Sharon Dotson, Dana Smith, and Rick Young.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in William 's memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
