Audrey Loveday Smith Parker, age 92 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. Audrey was born in Nottingham, England on August 10, 1928 to the late Arthur and Annie Danby Smith. She met the love of her life and married Stanley L. Parker on June 19, 1952. They lived and worked between Nottingham and London, England until 1968 when they moved to the United States for Stanley's work as an engineer for Philip Morris. They lived between Louisville and Williamsburg, VA until 1985 when they permanently resided in Louisville. Sadly Stanley passed away on June 19, 1995. Both he and Audrey were working toward their US Citizenship, and Audrey received her oath of Citizenship on October 16, 1996. In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Arthur Smith (Peggy) and Raymond Danby Smith (Beryl); maternal grandparents, George and Ellen Massey Danby; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Sarah Smith; Godparents, David and Sarah Kitchen.
Audrey leaves to cherish her memory her dearest friends, Thomas Jones and Rick Nottingham; and her caregivers, Ismara MacKenzie, Anne Blair and Blessing Toulope David; her nieces, Linda Graves (Tony) and Diane Stoor; nephews, Neil Smith (Wanda) and Roger Smith (Jeannie); and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 11am to 1pm on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, with a celebration of Audrey's life at 1pm there. Graveside services will be at 1pm on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Park 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218.
