Ronald L. Geiger

Ronald L. Geiger, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. Ronald was a proud Marine veteran who served two tours in Vietnam and a two time Purple Heart recipient. He loved riding motorcycles all of his life, participating in various benefits and rides with his wife and friends. Ron worked hard his whole life but always had time to help others. Ron always thought he was the boss of everyone so he was known as "BOSSMAN"- even to his family.

He was born on November 27, 1950 in Waterloo, Iowa to Donald and Marian (Barge) Geiger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lou Geiger and Marian Mable Geiger.

Ronald is survived by his loving Wife of 12 1/2 years, Joyce A. Geiger; step-son, Nicholas (Carrie) Herthel of Ramsey, IN.; step-daughter, Nicole (Gary) Herthel-Frye of Franklin, IN.; grandchildren, Sabrina (Luke) Herthel-Glendy, Justin Sung, Tyler Herthel, and Taylor Herthel; siblings, Sonya (Bob) Kosnar of Gladbrook, IA., Randy (Teri) Geiger of Keystone, IA, Rick (Amy) Geiger of Republic, MO, Scott (Coleen) Geiger of Youngsville, LA; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. As well as a host of cousins, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. Burial of the cremated remains will be on Friday March 12th at 12:30pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central), Radcliff, KY. We will be meeting at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel at 11:15 am in the parkinglot to go in procession to the Cemetery.
