Lena Davis

Lena "Christine" Davis, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. Christine was a member of Christian Assembly Church, where she played in the band, and was the director of the nursery, and helped in the dining room. She was a hard working individual. Christine started babysitting at the age of 15, and then went to work for Fruit of Loom in Frankfort. She then settled in Louisville and started working at Enro Factory, and after the plant closed she began working at a daycare along with attending college. She earned her degree from Indiana University Southeast. After graduation she continued working at Humana until her retirement. Christine loved to sew and make clothing and dolls for her family, and baking cakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.

She was born on April 2, 1947 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Bill and Addie (Girtley) Raley. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Brothers, Harold Raley, Larry Raley, and Bobby Raley, Sisters, Martha Buffin, and Dorothy Dudgeon.

Christine is survived by her loving Husband of 52 years Raymond Duane Davis, Son, Duane Keith (Cindy) Davis, Daughter, Andrea Lea (Scott) Pait, Son, Kevin Anthony Davis, Sister, Mary Louise McNabb, Brother, Mitchell (Leona) Raley, Grandchildren, Crystal (James) Brown, Brittany (Austin) Gillogly, Brandon Davis, Callie (Devin) Gayler, Collin Pait, Whit Best and Kaius McDermott-Davis, Great-Grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Brown, Josh (Gabriela) Brown, and Ember Lynn Gillogly. Christine also leaves behind to cherish her memory 7 Nieces, 3 Nephews, and a host of Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Friends, Church Family, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Christian Assembly Church, (9020 Stonestreet Road). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Christian Assembly Church with burial to follow in Beth Haven Cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Lena's memory be made to Christian Assembly Church or Hosparus.
