Billy G. Newkirk Jr., 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Billy's family was always number 1 in his life. He loved his walking sticks as much as hunting but nothing quite like the love he had for his country.
He was born on November 14, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to Billy and Cathy (Poe) Newkirk. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Gene Newkirk, Sr., mother, Cathy Schindler, sister, Dana Chappell, and nephew, Eric Newkirk
Billy is survived by his loving Wife of 37 years, Angela M Newkirk; children, Billy Gene Newkirk, III and Emily Rose (Travis) Wohner; grandchildren, Abigail Wohner, Letty Wohner, and Silas Gene Wohner; siblings, SFC Jeffrey Newkirk and Danny Newkirk. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).
The family requests that contributions in Billy's memory be made to WHAS Crusade for Children.
