Garry S. Nevitt

January 10, 1948 — December 27, 2020

Garry S. Nevitt, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020. He was born on January 10, 1948 in Battletown, Kentucky to the late Junius and Christine Nevitt. He proudly served in the US Army. In his free time, he enjoyed playing (winning!) pinochle and horseshoes with his family and wood working in his shop. He was an avid UK fan, but the thing he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Garry is preceded in death by his siblings, Wilma Bewley, Clark G. Nevitt; James Charles Nevitt and Cecil Lee Nevitt.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 52 years, Cindy Nevitt; children, Michelle L. (David) Kelty and Bradley W. (Kristy) Nevitt; grandchildren, Christina Kelty, Lindsey Kelty, Turner Nevitt and Gunner Nevitt; siblings, Junior Nevitt, Bernice Dillon, Janie (Dick) Barker, Billy Nevitt and Dean (Jo) Nevitt; a sister-in-law, Debbie Powell; and a host of extended family members and friends who all loved him dearly.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).
