Valerie J. Hatfield

Valerie "Val" J. Hatfield, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Valerie loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren. Over the years she was the nanny to all of the grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Ammo". She had a spitfire personality and would tell you like it is. However, she was loved and adored by all who knew her. Valerie will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on October 23, 1949 in Charleston, West Virginia. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Herman Hatfield, Mother, Darlo Workman, and Son, Timothy Hatfield.

Valerie is survived by her son, Thomas A (Ericka) Hatfield, grandchildren, Megan Hatfield, Mallory Hatfield, and Gabriel Hatfield, Aunt Hazel Blankenship, and cousin Danny Blankenship. Valerie also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Allen, Al Moody, Brian Clagett, Preston Williamson, Brendon Morrison, Chris Foltmann, and Tony Drury.
