David A. Mattingly, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. David was a golfer and enjoyed sporting events. He was a kind-hearted soul who loved all animals and enjoyed feeding the deer that visited him often at his bedroom window. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
He was born on January 3, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Mary (Godfrey) Mattingly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mattingly, father, William Mattingly, Son, Michael "Dino" Mattingly, grandchildren, Jeremy Ross Mattingly, Katelyn Lauren Mattingly, and great-granddaughter Alessa Larayne Brenzel.
David is survived by his loving Wife of 61 years, Mary JoAnn Mattingly; children, Angela Michelle (Michael) Grace, John Gary (Jenny) Mattingly, Joseph Timothy (Pamela) Mattingly, and David Keith (Paula) Mattingly; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory forever.
The family has requested that all services are going to be private.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers all contributions in David's memory be made to Jeremy Mattingly Foundation "Treasuring Dreams" 856 Linwood Ave. Louisville, KY 40217.
