Anthony "Tony" Lorie, 52, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
He was born on November 29, 1968 in Louisville, Kentucky to Marvin and Shirley (Heim) Lorie. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Richard and Katherine Heim and Jewell Winberry.
Tony was a Chief Executive Chef (CEC) for 20 plus years in many different venues and cities and was a highly respected in the Culinary community. He was a mentor to many students at Sullivan University Culinary Arts Program, one of his proudest achievements was cooking for the Olympic Athletes before they went to Beijing to compete. Tony was happiest in the kitchen.
He was an avid drag racer and a member of the IHRA with his home track being Ohio Valley Raceway. One of Tony's prized possessions was his 1965 Fastback Mustang. Another creative outlet for Tony was playing bass guitar for numerous local rock bands where he developed lifelong friendships. He was also the biggest UofL fan!
His greatest love was his three children, Destiny, Dakota and Addison.
He is survived by his parents Shirley and Marvin Lorie, children, Destiny Mills, Dakota Lorie and Addison Lorie, sister, Kimberly Bushnell (Rick), nephews Dominic Lorie and Noah Bushnell. He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Due to the current Covid-19 guidelines all services will be private.
