Dr. David Daniels

March 28, 1940 — October 26, 2020

Dr. David G. Daniels, 80, died from complications of pneumonia on October 26th, 2020.

He was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and was the son of Rev. Gibson Daniels and Olinda Peterson. He graduated from Trinity College in Hartford and then received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He was a beloved and highly respected dermatologist in San Diego, California for thirty years and another ten years in Louisville, Kentucky. After retiring from dermatology, he combined his medical skills with his love for flying by becoming a licensed aviation medical examiner.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Smith. Dr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Marci, and six children: Dennis Daniels, Deborah Dawson, Angie Scott, Douglas Daniels, Christopher Daniels, and Jason Daniels and by his 13 grandchildren.

Dr. Daniels was an avid pilot and participated with his wife, Marci, as a flying physician and missionary. He was an active and strong supporter of the NRA. He also enjoyed skiing, camping and traveling the world with his wife and friends. While his patients had great respect for him over the years, he received many accolades as a renowned dermatologist and surgeon. Most recently, Dr. Daniels had become an enthusiastic gardener and chef, even to the extent of creating his own line of incredible hot sauces which he generously shared with his many friends and family.

He will be missed by all that knew him.
