Joyce Dawson, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
She was born on September 16, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Reed and Daisy (Ryan) McCormick. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Bruce Dawson, brother Donnie McCormick, granddaughter, Jennifer Dawson and daughter-in-law, Brenda Dawson.
Joyce is survived by her son, Rick Dawson, daughter, Diane Dawson, son, Mike Dawson, grandchildren; Kristy Dawson, Abby Dawson, Alicia Dawson, Michael Dawson and Kayla Dawson, great-grandchildren; Alexis Dawson, Cameron Dawson, Tyler Dawson and Brelynn Harrison. She is also survived by her brother Dr. Maurice McCormick.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Joyce's memory be made to the Humane Society of Louisville.
