Amirage "Ami" Saling, 52, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Amirage worked for Volunteers of America as a Social Worker. She was an advocate for HIV Care and helped so many people with the disease. She was well known in the Community and was Loved by Everyone. Amirage graduated from the University of Louisville earning a degree in Social Work, where she carried the College Banner at the Commencement. She was the Voice for the Community for Equal Rights, and was a Trailblazer in the LGBTQ Community.
She was born on September 11, 1968 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles and Brenda (Ferrill) Saling. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie Gillim, grandparents, Louis & Eula Saling.
Amirage is survived by her loving parents, Charles & Brenda Saling, brother, Jerry Saling, sisters, Sandra Saling and Sherry (Edward) Ashby, her Loving Baby Dog, Pepper. Amirage also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A Life Tribute and Celebration of Life will be held at the C-2 Event Venue (225 East Breckinridge Ln, Louisville, KY) on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
