Joseph Dashawn Herndon

Joseph DaShawn Herndon, 37, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020. Joe was the biggest Cardinal fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and kids. He was a big sports fan. He had a heart of gold and never met a stranger.

He was born on June 2, 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky to David Housley and Donna Herndon. He is preceded in death by his Daughter, Joelle B Herndon, Grandfather, Donald Jett Herndon Sr., and Grandmother, Lena Housley.

Joseph is survived by his loving family Father, David Housley, Mother, Donna Maria Herndon-Ndir: Children, Lyric Ayers, Zion Ayers, Harmony Ayers, and Xavier Ayers: Siblings, Angela DaShawn Thomas and Isaiah Marcus Herndon: Pamaw, MaryJo Herndon: Aunts and Uncles, Ronald Mark Herndon, Felicia Faye (Herndon) Payne, Donald Jett Herndon, II, Donia L. (David) Addison, Theodore Housley, Marie Housley, Delores Vanderbelt, Barbara Housley, Jesse Housley, and Allen Housley. As well as a host of cousins, family, and friends to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
