Joseph Charles French, Jr. "Skip", 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Skip was born on December 17, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joseph Charles French, Sr. and Vincentine French Watson. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Charles French, Sr., sister in-law , Debbie French and step father, Harold Watson.
Skip was a 1967 graduate of Flaget High School and 3 year veteran of the U.S. Army; having served in Korea. After his military service he went to work for Louisville Tin and Stove Company, retiring in 2016.
Skip is survived by his mother, Vincentine French Watson, brother, Don French, brother, Ron (Gail) French, brother, David (Cheryl) French, brother, Tony French, sister, Debbie Dermon, brother, Mark (Teri) French, uncle, Mike Defazio, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members that will miss him dearly.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Skip's special niece and caregiver, Felecia.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial and military honors to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
