Charlotte Kay (Newby) Russell

Charlotte Kay (Newby) Russell, 64, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, of Campbellsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday evening, June 28, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany. She was primarily a homemaker, but also offered cleaning services to her church and the Hackman family. Charlotte trusted in the Lord with all of her heart and was a member of Southern Faith Baptist Church.
She was born on January 16, 1956 in Seymour, Indiana to the late Thomas and Martha (Wheeler) Newby. Charlotte was also preceded in death by her brother, Earl "Buck" Newby.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 45 years, Hiram "Red" Russell, Jr.; sons, Tommy Russell (Jill), Jason Russell (Kayla); daughter-in-law, Monica; brother, Freddie Newby; sister-in-law, Regina; grandchildren, Jordon, Jaden, Kendall, Kaden, Rylin, Kenzlee, Dalton; nephew, Michael Newby; and cousin, Becky Newby Howard (Joe).
Charlotte's wishes were to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Liver Foundation (www.liverfoundation.org).
