Tony was born December 13, 1960 in Louisville, KY to the union of Birdell and Lee M. Jackson, both preceding him in death, as well as his elder sister, Pamela Bright-Richardson and grandson, Christopher Hinkle.
Tony professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was baptized under the Pastorate of Rev. C. D. Simmons of the Friendship Baptist Church. He later joined Forest Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Rev. Daniel Mudido.
Tony was educated in the Jefferson County Public School district, attending Thomas Jefferson High School. He was an avid UofL fan (go Cards), loved to go fishing, was very social and he loved his family passionately. He was a devoted father; grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Tony would go to the ends of the earth for those he loved.
God called Tony to eternal rest on Sunday, May 17, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Montaye Thomas and Antonio L. (Jessica) Jackson, Jr.; a daughter of his heart, Michiko Ralston; a brother, Kenneth W. Jackson; two sisters, Kim E. Jackson and Patricia A. Jackson Lemon; two aunts, Donzel (Walter) Lovelace and Marcella Beasley; a special cousin, Gregory Turner; 9 grandchildren, Tayesean Thomas, Seantavia Thomas, Antonio D. Jackson, Deontay Alexander, Shiquail Ralston, Curtis Ralston, Natalya Hinkle, Malachi L. Crawford, Seth D. Crawford; 2 great grandchildren, Blu Alexander, Romeris Hinkle; 3 nieces, Ashley Lemon, Erica Simmons, Delana N. Richardson; cousin, Penelope Turner; 3 great nieces, Ciarra Drakeford, Chanel Drakeford, Janelle Sloan; 2 great nephews Jay'Cion Sloan, Jaxston Sloan; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Ceremony for immediate family only at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).
The family requests that contributions in Antonio's memory be made to his son, Antonio Jackson, Jr..
