Joyce Bullitt, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Joyce was a retired 1st & 2nd grade teacher for Jefferson County Schools System. She proudly served in the United States Army. Joyce loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader who enjoyed many different Christian Theology Books.
She was born on April 15, 1948 in Morgantown, Kentucky to Fred and Theresa (Morris) Ray. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Brother, Dewey Ray, Sisters, Odessa Harper, and Barbara Williams.
Joyce is survived by her loving, Daughter, Sherronda Eley, Son, Leon (LaTonya) Brown, Daughter, Lativia Johnson-Thomas, Siblings, Shirley Ray, Lauretta Beckham, Fredrick Ray, Janice Bedford, and Elain Crowdus, Grandchildren, Giovonee Meeks, Katherine Eley, Jordan Eley, Alexandria Eley, Leon Brown, III, Robert Brown, SouMoko Johnson, and JaQuar Sanders, Great-Grandchildren, Kadynce Sanders, Koldyn Sanders, Anibal Meeks, LaTaeivion Doneghy, LyRicc Doneghy, Xela Eley, Lealani Hausley, and Lia Hausley. Joyce also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Students, Facility, Friends, and Extended Family.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central).
The family requests that contributions in Joyce 's memory be made to Jefferson County School Teachers.
