Arthur Lee Horne

Arthur "Radio" Lee Horne, Sr was born March 4, 1939 to the union of the late Garlester and Mae Belle Horne in Franklin, KY. "Radio" was called home on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 to be with his parents and siblings in Heaven. Radio was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School in 1957. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Radio retired in 2001 from the Housing Authority of Louisville after 27 years. Radio married his love Dorothy in 1979. Arthur and Dorothy loved each other like newlyweds until the moment he took his last breath.

Arthur leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Dorothy Horne, five daughters, Sherryl Clarkson, Angella Tobin, Felisa (Paul) Bunton, Kristal (Robert) Black, and Chandra Horne, son, Arthur Lee Horne, Jr, step-sister, Marie Jacobs, step-brother James Boyd, 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren. Radio also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, his special great granddaughter Te'Mani, "who he called her Momma, and she called him Rio" and his beloved dog King.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
