Joe W. London, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
He was born on August 20, 1937 in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Henry London and Tommie Smith. At a young age Joe accepted Christ as his savior. He was a veteran of the United State Navy. Joe knew how to enjoy life, he loved being with his friends, the U of L Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys, and hosting get together's. He also enjoyed spending his time fishing, barbecuing, and when he was able he liked walking at the River Walk from Shawnee Park to Downtown.
He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Betty London; and daughter, Lynn London.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Julie London Brewer (Derrick, Sr.) and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Hicks (Jamille); sons, Raymont London and Aaron London; grandkids, Mitchell Young, Derrick Brewer, Jr., Malinda Jones (Leon), Shalaca London, Shaurice Weathers (Nathaniel), Shawn London, Benito London, Naviyah Martin, Jayla Hicks, and Aaliyah Hicks; 7 great grandchildren; and a multitude of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home. Cremation Services have been chosen.
