Nicholas Anthony Ojeda

June 7, 1956 — February 4, 2020

Nicholas Anthony Ojeda (aka "Tony") departed us on February 4, 2020. Born to absent John Ojeda and late Betty Kail June 7, 1956 in Paoli, IN. Raised penniless by a single mother shaped Tony's formative years and resulted in a man with a penchant for fine jewelry who was far from a shortage of clothes. He collected coats like women do shoes.

After HS, Tony dedicated 4 years to the Navy where he perfected the art of charm and landed in the position of Captain's Gentleman. After discharge, Tony returned to IN, graduated from ISU with a degree in Business Management and settled back in French Lick where he soon began the 1st of 38 years at Kimball.

Never fond of housework, mowing the lawn was about as far as Tony's contributions would go (and that was pushing it). When he wasn't glued to the couch watching TV, you could find him catfishing or hunting squirrels. The lead foot was caught for speeding close to 25x in his lifetime, but the lucky sob was only ticketed once.

Married 3 times, his second wife bore his only child, Christina, and fortuned him with son, Christopher. After the divorce, Tony found Aundrea Clark of Radcliff, KY and with his renowned charm, won over the hand of a woman who swore she'd never remarry. In 2018, he moved from his couch to hers.

A man so anal about paperwork and planning, Tony left his spouse and two children to quibble over the final details of his life. He left special bonds with: Judy Kail, Veronica Bundy, Kim Heyder (and son Dakota), and beloved Gordon Dixon and Sheryl. Left with decades of laughs and fond memories is his best friend of 42 years, Jim Snapp and the closest thing to a father John Wittenmyer and wife Barb.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 9 at Legendz, French Lick 3-6pm.

If you feel compelled to honor his memory, donations may be sent to: St. Jude's Hospital at stjude.org/donate
