Kevin Robert Murphy

Kevin Robert Murphy , 33, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Kevin was an avid hunter, fisherman and a life long U of L fan. He enjoyed playing backyard football, wiffle ball, bowling, disc golf and basketball. He believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and knew scripture well. He was known as a loving, caring, and giving man. Kevin was a jokester with a quick come back, always making those around him laugh.

He was born on September 8, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky to David and Angela (Schmitt) Murphy. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward L. Schmitt; grandmother, Shirley J. Murphy; and cousin, Logan Bohannon.

Kevin is survived by his loving parents, David and Angela Murphy; children: Kamryn David Murphy, Kolton Tyler Murphy, and Kaia Grace Bistarkey; sister, Lauren (Chris) Baker; brother, Jordan (Madeline) Murphy; nieces and nephews: Trent Murphy, Isaiah Mattingly, Teagan Murphy, Easton Murphy, Vivian Murphy, Axel Baker; grandfather, Robert L. Murphy; grandparents, Linda (Lee) O'Connell; grandmother, Barbara Schmitt.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020 and Tuesday February 11, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
