Pamela K. Shaw, 66, of LaGrange, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:34 am with friends and family at her side.
Pam was born on January 13, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Maurice and Annie (Hardy) Hillerich. She is preceded in death by her siblings; Harold, Pat and Joan.
Pam was a graduate of DuPont Manual High School, Class of 1971. She attended Presentation Academy and studied Business Management at Bellarmine and Mckendree Colleges, graduating class of 1995. She retired after over 30 years at Phillip Morris and subsequently from North Oldham Animal Hospital.
Pam married Marcus McKnight Shaw on July 25, 1987, enthusiastically accepting his four children as her own.
Pam truly loved life to the fullest as a caring, kind and generous example to all who came in contact with her. She brought joy and wisdom to many lives. She made herself always available with a kind word and a sympathetic ear.
Pam enjoyed nature, tending her flowers, camping and spoiling her grandchildren and fur babies (Ozzy, Bea, Milo and Zoey). Other simple pleasures included traveling, shopping (always looking for the best sales), sewing, girls nights and dancing (even though she married a man with two left feet).
Pam is survived by her loving husband Marcus, children; Angela Edwards (David), Dr. Aaron Shaw (Olga), Justin Shaw, Stephanie Sullivan (Tony), sister Dottie Grieshaber, grandchildren; Kyle, Mikayla, Brendan, Lacey, Chris, Eamon, Mairi, Xander, Hayden, Thatcher, Jewel, Lila, James, one great-grandson Bryson, niece Stacy Grieshaber (Larry), nephews Gary Grieshaber (Jaclyn), David Neal and sister-in law Kit Reas (David).
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Pam's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
