Gregory "Matthew" Higdon, 37, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020. He was an amazing artist and had a great sense of humor. Matthew enjoyed fishing and was an animal lover and huge fan of the Louisville Cardinals.
He was born on April 2, 1982, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Nicholas and Mikel Kennedy; dad, Chris Kennedy; and grandparents, JD and Jewell Evans, Beverly Kennedy, and Petie Higdon.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Tiffany (Bobo) Higdon; mother, Paula "Gail" (Evans) Kennedy (Tim); father, Greg Higdon (Babbette); daughters, Jasmine Breeding, Brianna Hiser, and Kayleigh Stone; brothers, Christopher Kennedy (Ann-Marie) and Chad Kennedy; grandparents, Shirley Higdon and James Kennedy (Barbara); mother- and father-in-law, Steve and Loretta Bobo; sister-in-law, Stephanie Bowles; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
