William Dale Robertson, 72, of Georgetown, Indiana, entered into his eternal life on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. William attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany and was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He attended Our Lady of Providence High School and graduated from New Albany High School. William loved farming, fishing, hunting, mowing the lawn, and his multiple animals. He was a collector of Ray Day and Bruce Fox artwork and was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Vietnam Era and served on the U.S.S. Essex. He was the former owner of the Horseshoe Bar and Bulldog Tax Service in New Albany and former broker for Cora Jacobs and paralegal for Jimmy Hancock and numerous attorneys in New Albany.
He was born on September 12, 1946, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late William Delbert and Goldie Francis (Scott) Robertson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kayla Jones.
William is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Susan Gayle (Robertson) Robertson; children, William R. Robertson, Rexanne Robertson, and Seth Robertson; grandchildren, Shelby Stephens and Kiara Robertson; and great-grandchild, Addilynn Biggers.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church - New Albany with burial and military honors to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in William's memory be made to the Breast Cancer Association.
