Rev. Alexander R. Wiley, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Rev. Wiley was a member of the African American Episcopal Zion Church of the Louisville District. He began his ministry at Taylortown Church. Then he moved on to Jones Memorial Church. His next church was Spradling Memorial Church and Johnson Chapel. Rev. Wiley's last ministry was at Campbell's Chapel, in Bloomfield. He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
He was born on January 14, 1932 in Lownesboro, Alabama to Edgar and Rosabell (Rudolph) Wiley. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Bill Wiley, Charlie Wiley, Josephine Edwards, and Elizabeth Gibbs.
Rev.Wiley is survived by his, Daughters, Alexandria Wiley, Pamala Wiley, Sonya Wiley, and Kristy Wiley, Son, Anthony Wiley, Sisters, Mary Howard, Ida Smith, Jannie Stewart, and Betty Brooks, Brothers, John Wiley, Grandchildren, Dumonde Wiley, Antoine Leslie, Nakeshia Cardine, and Khalil Wiley. Rev. Wiley also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and extended family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Spradling Memorial AME Zion Church (971 South Preston). Rev. Wiley's Graveside Services will be held at a later date in his hometown of Lownesboro Cemetery.
