Matthew Scott Marshall

Matthew Scott Marshall, 30, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019. He was a loving father that was idolized by his children. Matt always had a great work ethic and was a roofer by profession. He was kindhearted and possessed a great sense of humor with the ability to light up any room he entered. Matt enjoyed playing darts and corn hole and also attended Evangel North Church in Clarksville.

He was born on February 2, 1989, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Marshall.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Donna Hacker (Mike) and Ed Marshall (Sheree); children, Timothy, Autumn, and Chyenne Marshall; siblings, Joshua Marshall (Kacey), Kayla Gilpin (Terry), Zach Hacker, Ciera Hacker, and Kayla Broyles; grandparents, Don and Becky Kemper, Carl and Vonda Woods, and Bennie and Sharon Hacker; great-grandmother, Milley Kemper; uncles, Brian and Michael Kemper; as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 11:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home. Matt will be laid to rest privately at a later date with his brother, Jesse, at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
