Judith Gayle Brinley Pierce, 65, of Jeffersontown, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Norton Hospital.
She was a native of Jefferson County. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Judy enjoyed playing bingo and cared deeply for all animals throughout her life, and especially loved her dogs Elvis and Molly. She most treasured spending time with her family, she raised three children and was very proud of her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her infant son; parents, George and Effie Brinley; siblings, Charles Brinley, Jean Burgess, and late husband Jimmy McKinney.
She is survived by her companion in life Jerry Pierce; son, Joseph Lynch, Jr. (Geneva), and daughters Amy Miller (P.J.), Tracy Padgett (Mitchell) all of Louisville; brother, George Brinley (Darlene), and sisters, Linda Hood, Donna Smith (Danny); grandchildren, Dana, Christy, Elizabeth, Jacob, Brooke, Katie, Mitchell, Benjamin; and great-grandchildren, Kendra, Joseph and Samantha. Judy was a kind and good hearted woman to all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Judith's memory be made to the Louisville Humane Society and Hopewell Cemetery.
