Ned Mason, Jr.

Ned Mason, Jr., 72, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching old westerns, and also building things and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was born on June 14, 1947, in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Ned, Sr., and Alta (Collins) Mason. Ned was also preceded in death by his wife, Deborah (Lucas) Mason; siblings, RV, Toby, JD, Hillary, Birchfield, and Harm Mason.

Ned is survived by his sons, Johnny (Joanna), Jesse (Gloria), and Matthew Mason (Danielle); brothers, Lowell, Charlie, Ed, and Gene Mason; sisters, Ellen McCoy, Betty Coffer, Sharon Shrader, Martha Hyre, and Angie and Annie Mason; grandchildren, Mariah, Jaccob, and Madison Mason; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
