Imogene Basham

Imogene "Jean" Basham, 82, of Louisville, KY, passed away on June 12, 2019. She retired from G.E. with 28 years of service. Jean was an avid BINGO player and loved playing cards with her family. She enjoyed working in her yard. Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Basham; grandson, Shawn Miller; parents, Ben and Kathleen Keown and siblings, Ray Keown, Jack Keown, Dorothy Richerson, Pete Keown, Joyce Ann Keown, Mildred Bennett, Wayne Keown, Joe Keown and Jewel Keown.

Jean is survived by her children, Jimmy "J.B." Basham, Lisa Poole, Cindy Raney and Marc (Judy) Basham; grandchildren, Kenneth (Shelley) Miller, James "Jimbo" (Shannon) Blanchard, Brooke Basham, Claudia Basham, Hope Basham, Alex Basham and Hunter Basham; great-grandson, Grayson; brother, Donald Keown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 12pm-5pm with the funeral service/celebration of Jean's life beginning at 5pm.

A graveside service will be Monday, June 17, 2019, at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, beginning at 12pm.
