Norma Jean Johnson, age 74 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. Norma Jean Johnson was born on February 20th 1945 to Grace and Leon Brown. She was 1 of 7 children raised in Jtown. "Jeanie " was known to always have a smile on her face and put a smile on the face of everyone she came in contact with. She goes home to rest and be with her brothers Kenneth and Joseph brown and her sister Shirley Ann Turner.
She is survived by 2 sisters Janice Southern and Mary Watts, one brother Robert "Bobby" Brown. She leaves behind 3 grandchildren Darreon Johnson, Deionna Johnson and Robbie Lewis. She had her first child Deon E. Johnson on June 19th 1970. She married Albert Lee Maurice Johnson on May 12th 1972. They had one daughter Danae E. Johnson who just happen to be born on the same day as her beautiful mother. February 20th 1976. She was retired from Kmart and later on from Speedway.
She leaves behind a lot of memories for us to cherish. She would want us to mourn a little and laugh a lot. Momma it hurts to say goodbye. We were not ready. I have lost the best part of me. The best part of life. My mother. I hold on to thought of seeing you again when it's time for me to come home. WE LOVE YOU!
Visitation will be 11am until 1 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Norma's life will be 1pm at the funeral home, followed by burial in Simpson Cemetery in Jeffersontown.
