Thomas Gene Montgomery

Thomas Gene Montgomery, 70, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He graduated from Corydon Central High School in 1966 and went on to serve in the Indiana National Guard. Tom was a member of the American Legion.
He was born on June 9, 1948 in Corydon, Indiana to the late Ralph and Zelma (Luther) Montgomery. He is preceded in death by his brother, William Montgomery and sister, Janet Bryce.
Tom is survived by his companion of over 25 years, Gloria Smith; daughter, Genie Wolfe; siblings, Edward Montgomery (Robin), Alice Lower, Barbara Montgomery; three grandchildren, three nieces, and two great-nieces.
Cremation was chosen following Tom's wishes and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. He will be laid to rest privately at Fairview Cemetery in Corydon. Contributions in Tom's memory be made to the Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
