Frank Gognat III, 63, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Frank enjoyed horse races and fishing, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.
He was born on June 18, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Frank and Margaret (Broughton) Gognat. He is preceded in death by his son, Clinton Gognat; and parents, Frank Gognat, Jr., and Margaret L. (Broughton) Gognat.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of nearly 36 years, Brenda Kay Gognat; Son, Michael Gognat (Stephanie); Sister, Linda Spalding; and Grandchildren, Lexie, Emma, Brycen, Andrew, and Ezra.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
