Hubert C. Farmer, 96, of Louisville, Ky entered heavenly life on December 18, 2018.
Hubert was born on September 30, 1922 in Taylor County, Ky to the late John Marion Farmer and Julia Alice Wheeler Farmer. He was a deacon for many years at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, prior to his death.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bernice Mae (Richeson) Farmer, daughters, Geneva Hulsey and Vanita Goodman, and his parents.
He is survived by his son, Richard M. Farmer; daughter, Bonnie Jean Kahle (Neill, Sr.); son, Rodney C. Farmer (Patricia); son, Dave R. Farmer; 15 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Hubert served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked at Universal / Bob Smith Chevrolet for over 25 years. Part of this time he served as service manager there and also as service manager at Bob Montgomery Chevrolet.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue
