Douglas Edward Lewis

Douglas Edward "Doug" Lewis, 53, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. Doug never met a stranger and he was always there any time anyone ever needed a hand. Doug was never a stranger to hard work; he enjoyed working in the lawn care business and in his spare time tinkering on small engine repairs. He was a beloved son, wonderful father, amazing grandfather and a caring brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Lou Lewis and sister, Betty Nix.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Misty Rose (Jeremy) Frank; sons, Steven Lewis, Chris Williamson and Troy Williamson; grandchildren, Mackenzie, James, Haliey, Jessie and Nevaeh; sisters, Janet Steele, Amanda Gray; brothers, Tommy Lewis, Jimmy "Betty Jean" Lewis and Nathen Adams; several nieces, nephews, one great-nephew and along with many many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-4pm with a celebration of Doug's life beginning at 4pm.
