Beatrice Rose White, was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was loved by many, born on June 7, 1936. She returned home to her Heavenly Father on September 21, 2018. She was born to the late Jonathan Craighead and Emma Sutherland and she was the oldest of three children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa White, Jr.; daughter, Deborah Ann White; parents, Jonathan Craighead and Emma Sutherland and her two younger sisters, Bernice and Anna Craighead.
Beatrice is survived by her loving granddaughter, Veronica Brookins; great-grandchildren, Antonio, Dominique, William "Tyrone" and Donovan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
As a devote wife, Beatrice and her husband, Asa, attended King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Elliott, Sr. She later moved her membership to Faith Hope and Deliverance Ministries under Pastor, Alex Howard where she served until she was called Home. She was a ray of sunshine who was always there for others. Beatrice was unselfish and an inspiration to her family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 10am-12pm with a celebration of Beatrice's life beginning at 12pm.
