Mary Jo Higdon, 82, passed away on July 21, 2018. She enjoyed playing BINGO, horse racing and watching wrestling. One of her favorite TV shows was "Say Yes To The Dress".
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thresea Herrensmith, Sr.; brothers, Delbert Herrensmith and Kenneth Herrensmith and sister, Sally Combs.
Mary-Jo is survived by her children, Joanna Willis, Elmer Lee Higdon, Jr., Rita Higdon, Wade Higdon and Mary "P.J." (Frank) Sharpe; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry Herrensmith and John T. Herrensmith, Jr. and sister, Elizabeth Markwell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 4pm-6pm with celebration of Mary Jo's life beginning at 6pm.
