Sherry Lynn Elkins

Sherry Lynn Elkins, 46, passed away on April 20, 2018. She was energetic, full of life and was loved by everyone. Sherry had a nurturing personality and her presence was always known. She loved her children very much and one of her favorite things to do was spend time with her grandson, Tay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Louise Murphy and sister, Carla Jo Murphy.

Sherry is survived by her children, Jessica (Todd) Harris, Jodie (Chris Endsley) Elkins and Scotty (Lisa Burris) Elkins, Jr.; grandson, Tay'Jon Todd Harris, husband, Scott Elkins; siblings, Robert (Angel) Murphy, Jr., Steven Murphy, GaLinda (Jerry) Hanna and Eddie Murphy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Sherry's life will be Friday, April 27, 2018, beginning at 12pm at the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
